49 asylum seekers of Egyptian, Bangladeshi, Gambian and Ivory Coast nationalities have disembarked this Tuesday at the port of Shëngjin.
They arrived in Albania on the Italian navy ship Cassiopea.
After the control and registration process at the Port of Shëngjin, their requests will be reviewed by the Rome Court of Appeal and no longer by the Civil Court.
The Italian Court’s response to their requests is expected within Thursday (i.e. within 48 hours). If their requests are not accepted, they will be returned to the neighboring country.
