The Ministry of Education and Sports announces that, due to the difficult situation created by the bad weather, the recommendations of the civil emergency authorities, as well as reports from local education offices, on Monday, January 13, 2025, the teaching process in 77 schools and their subordinate branches will be temporarily suspended.
Heavy snowfall and difficult weather conditions make it impossible to conduct teaching.
The situation presents particular problems in some schools in the areas of Bulqiza, Mati, Dibra, Kruja, Has, Kukës, Mirdita, Kurbin, Puka and others. The teaching process in these schools will be suspended until further notice and will be replaced in the coming weeks.
This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers and educational staff in the areas most affected by the bad weather. The Ministry of Education and Sports is in constant communication with local authorities and civil emergency headquarters to monitor the situation and take other measures, if deemed necessary.
