Belind Këlliçi was questioned by SPAK for over 2 hours and has given an account of forgery of documents, including that of the high school diploma and failure to declare the assets of his cohabitant. In April 2023, Shqiptarja.com published a 4-part investigation where the forgery of the diploma is proven by manipulating first the American university “Coppin University” and then the Albanian institutions.
He is used to entering the door of SPAK several times after saying that he reports corrupt affairs, this time Sali Berisha’s “super investigator” gave an account before the prosecution for over 2 hours as a person under investigation. The accusations against him are strong. The first is related to serious forgery in 2 cases, for the high school diploma that he does not have and the false declaration in the self-declaration form as if he has the diploma, when he ran for deputy and then for mayor of Tirana. The criminal complaint was filed by lawyer Idajet Beqiri, reports journalist Keti Banushi. For this serious file, which Report TV has previously reported through several investigations, Belind Këlliçi refused to provide a public explanation after leaving SPAK.
Today I appeared at SPAK in connection with a complaint from a fraudster convicted by court decision 1 year before I was born. I was born in 1987, I have given all my exhaustive explanations for the slander, the bile thrown at me that I have brought down a corrupt scheme and brought down the largest gang of thieves 5D. The head of which came from SPAK colleagues. I am open to any question and any further explanation with me, my family since the day I was born 25.1.9187 until today. I am clarifying. In relation to the events of the day. For the second time in a year, the leader of the 5D gang appeared before SPAK. If anyone thinks that using discredited people since 1986 will silence me, they are wrong. Leave them aside and face anyone who will intimidate me. Anyone who has something to do with me should show their face face to face as I have.
I have told the truth publicly, I have explained it to the media, journalists who have followed the case have also explained it, I have also explained it to SPAK. This is an issue that has been exhausted by the media, in 2021, in 2023, I do not intend to provide clarifications. Those clarifications that I have given in writing to SPAK. My education and upbringing is one of my greatest prides, I graduated from Coppin University, I have followed American law to the letter. I am one of Harry Fultz’s prides. I have a classmate, I have a teacher, I’m not anonymous so no one knows me, you can go to the 8th grade and ask. “My education is my strongest weapon and my greatest pride,” said Këlliçi after leaving SPAK.
Another issue for which Këlliçi gave an account, sources indicate, is that of false declaration of wealth, since he did not report the wealth of his cohabitant, Ana Shkreli, the daughter of Artan Shkreli. To escape SPAK’s investigations, Këlliçi distanced himself from his wife, saying that they do not live together.
“I have been asked about everything, about my partner, that I go to the media publicly and say that I do not cohabit with her and we are not together and she is taking care of her family, her brother,” said Belind Këlliçi.
The third issue about which he was questioned for 130 minutes by special investigators, Këlliçi revealed himself and that it is related to who paid for his photo with Donald Trump in the United States of America.
“I have been asked that I paid tens of thousands of euros to take a photo with US President Donald Trump. Let Trump himself ask, what can I say. I have given the statements, I have come out from the beginning and declared that I had zero financial costs”, said Këlliçi.
In the complaint by lawyer Idajet Beqiri, it is stated that Këlliçi has not completed the last year of high school at the “Harry Fultz” institution in Tirana, so he does not have a high school diploma. Këlliçi is accused of having falsified documents to register for university studies in the United States of America and having made false statements on official forms during his candidacy for deputy, declaring that he has completed secondary and higher education.
