The snowfall, which began last night and continued throughout Saturday, has created major difficulties in the movement of vehicles on many roads in Kosovo, including the capital, Pristina.

Citizens have reported numerous problems on the main roads, such as Pristina-Peja and Pristina-Mitrovicë, as well as on regional and local roads. Also, several secondary roads in Pristina have been blocked, while columns have been created on the main roads due to difficulties in the movement of vehicles.

A particularly problematic area is the Veternik slope, where many vehicles have encountered difficulties in passing. Meanwhile, the Kosovo Police has issued an appeal for increased caution when driving on snow-covered roads.

“Based on the current weather conditions and snowfall, the Kosovo Police appeals to all traffic participants, especially drivers, to increase caution, to adapt speed to weather conditions and road conditions, to maintain distance between vehicles and to slow down movement on snowy and icy roads,” the Police statement said.
